Shopping on Sunday with my daughter…
My son hung out at a friend’s, which was a good thing as it took (of course!) much longer then we thought it would!
With her beloved new hat on, I kept stopping her to take shots when there was a something colourful in the background to create cool bokeh with, here are the results:

A few shots from today…
I can’t believe that my son actually engaged with the camera! (usually he completely ignores me and won’t co-operate! lol)

It sure is nice to be shooting outside again!

Metallic Prints Available!
These photos of my test 8″ x 12″ metallic prints do not do them justice! Metallic paper adds a stunning visual look and is particularly effective with highly saturated colour shots and high contrast black and white images. The unique pealescent metallic undertone and high gloss gives your images an almost three dimensional depth. Samples will be shown during in-person proofing. All metallic prints are mounted. Please see my photography packages page for pricing information.

Spring Thaw?
I noticed some HUGE icicles hanging from the roof on the back deck today, the melting has begun, but I know spring is not just around the corner. (Unfortunately, hopefully it won’t be too much longer now though…)

Poor sick birthday boy…
My son turned 8 years old yesterday, but the poor little guy was so sick from the flu. He had his birthday party, with his friends on Saturday, and became ill half way through his own party. He didn’t even get to enjoy his own birthday cake.
At first he was feeling fine, watching for his friends arriving at his party:

His party was held at the Scratch Gallery, which had fabulous artwork on the wall, which I used as a backdrop in photographing his sister:

Noah working on his artwork, but starting to feel ill, which is why he looks so unhappy ![]()

Rebecca working on her artwork:

Rebecca with her finished artwork:

Poor Noah, sick, sick, sick, on his birthday day, but enjoying the comfort of his new ‘friend’ Tigger:

Poor kid, what bad timing to be sick at his own party:

A little trouble with my site…
Some of you may have noticed that my website and this blog were unavailable for more then 24 hours. Maybe you have emailed me and I haven’t responded? Well, my web server provider has had a HUGE hiccup with one of their servers. My site and email run off that server. They have the websites up and running, but they are still working on email….
To say this has made me a little sad…

Feeling kind of down…

Somewhat depressed…

And annoyed…

Would all be true. But in the end all you can do is lie back…

Wait for the next snow storm to arrive (today!)…

Grin and bear it…

As tomorrow is another day. ![]()

I hope all will be back to normal soon! And will respond to any email that I may have received as soon as possible.

Just for fun…
The first image is a recent one. I thought the background pop/juice/water filled fridge would make an interesting backdrop to the candy kabobs. It was a quick grab shot…if I return to this cafĂ© I might spend a bit more time on the shot next time:

This one is an older image, but thought it might be interesting to apply a texture, just for fun:
