Catching Up!

Looking back through my database of photos I realized that I missed posting some to the blog!

Oh, don’t we all wish it was this warm outside now? Love the bokeh of the out-of-focus trees in the background in this shot and the one below:

As I recall I couldn’t get Noah to sit still for long, or even look at the camera!

He did want to scooter though!

Refreshed my look this fall, and took some self portraits, I was happiest these two:

I’ve been trying to perfect my latté art, here are two attempts:

Now, don’t confuse these photographs of my sister, Monica, as more self-portraits! We do look alike, because we are twins! When she was over for Thanksgiving dinner I suggested I take a good photograph of her because she just looked fabulous, don’t you agree? :-)
The first two images were taken in my front hallway, which gives great light for this, you may remember the photograph of my friend Diane that I took in the same location:

This one was taken in the driveway beside my house. You may remember photographs of my friend Jeff, taken in the same location almost a year ago:

That’s all for now!

A very yummy shoot this month! Certainly a menu I plan to recreate now that the cooler weather is upon us….

Delicious sweet potato wedges, see the recipe here:

The pulled pork was amazing, my kids loved the leftovers as well!

And a fabulous idea for the leftovers!

Part of the dinner party menu, the couscous-stuffed acorn squash was a great idea, and also very yummy!

None of us at the shoot had room (after our delicious lunch!) to try the Spooky Spider Brownies, but (again!) my kids loved them! A great spooky treat for this time of year!

Looking forward to whatever is on the menu for next month!

You may remember our child model, Spencer, from this blog post on my old blog. Spencer’s mom, Denise, works at SavvyMom and is the EatSavvy editor:

EatSavvy: Commercial Shoot

Some shots from a commercial shoot I did for SavvyMom last month. This is for their new online newsletter, EatSavvy. EatSavvy will be published once a month, and I had a great time doing the shoot. The idea behind the EatSavvy publication is ‘One meal, four ways’, while you have the ingredients on hand you can prepare a family meal, a meal for a toddler, a dinner party version and then plan ahead and freeze a meal for another day. What a great idea! Click here to learn more. (I’m a HUGE fan of SavvyMom and the idea behind their product, and it’s wonderful to work for a company of women who are all SavvyMoms too!)

It was fun to shoot something a little different then I usually shoot, and I look forward to the monthly photography sessions! (If you’re a mom, sign-up and Get Savvy!)
