Yesterday…

A few shots of my children from yesterday.

Rebecca, looking very stylish with her new hat and a hint of lip gloss on:

Love this shot of her, too cute!

The green in the background is the grass she is sitting on:

Noah, pretending to be old and tired! (Hence the hunched back.)

Goofy boy!

After his bath, shot with an extension tube, which gives a very shallow depth of field, almost the look of the lensbaby:

I can’t recall what he was looking at here! Love the sharpness of the eyes in this shot.

Beautiful portraits. Very nice use of the Lensbaby.

Shopping on Sunday with my daughter…

My son hung out at a friend’s, which was a good thing as it took (of course!) much longer then we thought it would!

With her beloved new hat on, I kept stopping her to take shots when there was a something colourful in the background to create cool bokeh with, here are the results:

Excellent…very few lenses beat the 85mm 1.8/1.2….

Saturday, in the park…

Finally! Some nice spring weather! We headed to the park in the late afternoon. On the way there we ran into a friendly neighbourhood cat:

I caught a shot of Rebecca on the swing (looking oh so happy I would say!):

Noah, smiling at a little boy at the park:

Then I got to talking to a neighbour, Ken, who’s wife and son are in England, so it’s just him and Alison. We decided to have an impromptu bbq, we supplied the hot dog, hamburgers, tomatoes, lettuce and buns. They supplied the bbq, condiments, sautéed onions, beer and wine, and, voilà! A nice evening was had by all!

You might remember Ken from this post

And then I found one more shot of Riley to share:

Happy Saturday everyone!

Softball Night

Softball has started, but we’re still waiting for a nice warm evening for it! Maybe next week….

Noah, loving how he’s paying attention to the game! lol

Noah’s friend Harry, after the game, love that red hair!

On the way home I caught this shoot of a neighbour’s flowers. The darker section through the shot is the gate, but I kind of like it, adds a bit of an abstract element to the image.

I was also taking some close-up abstract shots of the dandelion seedings.

At one point my friend Kate came by with her puppy Riley, and I grabbed this quick shot.

Looking forward to warmer weather (hopefully!) in the coming weeks!

Mother’s Day Gift: Gallery Wrapped Canvas

My mother’s day gift to my mother was this beautiful shot of her dog Simon, as an 18″ x 12″ gallery wrapped canvas.

This side shot shows the 2 1/4″ wrap:

It looks fabulous hanging on her wall…I just wish I had picked a larger size (perhaps the 20″ x 16″) instead! (I just wasn’t sure she’d have room for a larger size, but this one looks awesome just the same!)
