A bit of a catchup blog posting, photos of Leo the lizard enjoying the recent warm weather on the deck, Alice the cat enjoying the deck too, and a few shots of my son on his birthday.

A bit of a catchup blog posting, photos of Leo the lizard enjoying the recent warm weather on the deck, Alice the cat enjoying the deck too, and a few shots of my son on his birthday.

This was a fun shoot, and also a bit of a reunion, as I used to babysit dad Aaron many years ago!
Molly and Olivia are having their Christening this coming Sunday, so we started the shoot with everyone in their outfits for that special day:

Then off to the park for some fun! Love how cute Molly is here in her adorable sun hat:

It was really bright and sunny, so we had to work around that, the swings were a fun solution:

Love these two black & white shots of Molly, the innocence of a toddler:

While Olivia napped, Molly played on the slide with mom and dad:

We finished up at the house with a few more shots of the girls:

And then a few shots of mom, Tara, and dad, Aaron. They have been a couple since they were 16-years-old, and have an amazing relationship. They are friends, and their love for each other is so evident. It was wonderful to see and capture:

Thank you to Aaron, Tara, Molly and Olivia for a fun morning!
Loving the iPhone for quick, fun and cool photography:

(All images shot and processed on the iPhone with Hipstamatic)
Out and about recently with my daughter, if you look closely (hint, the ears!), you’ll see what her grade 8 graduation gift from me was (the third image shows it):

(Equipment Used: Canon EOS-1D MarkIV and the Canon 85 f1.2L lens.)
We were waiting for friends, on their front porch, to go and check out a local gallery, and I captured a few shots of Rebecca’s purse (that she made) with all her cool buttons. And then a shot of Rebecca and Alison (who I’ve blogged about before, she LOVES Rebecca, see this blog posting from Halloween 2008, 6th photo down, of her with Rebecca) as we walked to the gallery:

Then Rebecca and I went off to the Sewing Studio, so she could finish up her graduation dress. I blogged about the fabric choice for the dress before, and can’t wait to photograph Rebecca in the completed dress:

Decided to revisit the H Family session (see original posting below), and add some Supernatural Textures (from Patti Brown) to two of my favourites from the shoot:

What do you think? Do you like the textured look or the no texture look? Post a comment and let me know what you think!
