Alice Update: Toronto Cat Photography

Haven’t updated the blog with photos of Alice lately, so here’s a bit of a catch-up. 🙂

(Equipment Used: Canon EOS-1D MarkIV and the Canon 85 f1.2L lens.)

I was lucky to be one of the winner’s of Patti Brown’s new Supernatural Texture set, so thought I would put it to use in this blog posting. I applied a few different texture’s from Patti’s set, as well as a frame (from another source):

Mother’s Day: Toronto Family Photographer

This is becoming a nice mother’s day tradition, just like last year, the kids and I went over to my mother’s on Sunday to spend some time with her.

Moderncat.net Pet Photography Q & A: Toronto Cat Photography

Yes, another photo update of Alice, two days in a row! But this one is to celebrate my Pet Photography Q & A on moderncat.net. If you own a cat, you must check out this fabulous blog about all things cat related. Many thanks to Kate for profiling/interviewing me for her blog!

I couldn’t resist capturing Alice as she crammed herself into an empty space on my messy desk. She wanted to be close to me I guess! (Equipment Used: Following two images captured with the Canon EOS-1D MarkIV and the Canon 85 f1.2L lens.)

How could I resist capturing her hanging out in my daughter’s laundry basket? And with the sunlight flooding in from behind her, too perfect to pass up! And Alice couldn’t pass up the cozy bed the clean clothes offered that night either! (Following images captured with the Canon EOS-1D MarkIV and the Canon 85 f1.2L lens, expect for the full laundry basket image which was captured with the Canon 24–70 mm f2.8L lens and the Canon 580EX II Speedlite.)

Alice the Cat Update: Toronto Cat Photography

I have been taking photos of Alice over the last few weeks, so now it’s time to play “blog image catch-up” with them! Hope you enjoy! 🙂

Alice loves hanging out on the window ledge in the living room, watching the world go by: (Equipment Used: Shot with the Canon EOS-1D MarkIV and the Canon 24–70 mm f2.8L lens.)

A couple of more window shots, and then a few where she was just hanging out on my bed. (All shot with the Canon EOS-1D MarkIV. Top two with the Canon 24–70 mm f2.8L lens, bottom left with the Canon 100 mm f2.8 macro lens and the bottom right with the Canon 85 f1.2L lens.)

With the beautiful weather having arrived in Toronto, I decided it was time to introduce Alice to our deck. Right now she is still a bit nervous/skittish of being on the deck, but we have a harness/leash for her when she starts to get more adventurous! (Shot with the Canon EOS-1D MarkIV, and first/last images with the Canon 85 f1.2L lens, middle two with the Canon 24–70 mm f2.8L lens.)

The following four images were shot with the Canon EOS-1D MarkIV, and the Lensbaby Composer with the Lensbaby Close-Up (Macro) Kit (+4) installed:

The following four images were shot with the Canon EOS-1D MarkIV, and the Lensbaby Composer (no macro attachment). Interesting to me how much more pronounced the lensbaby affect is on these images vs. the images above with the macro attachment:

My (10th) Birthday Boy: Toronto Family Photography

Can’t believe that my youngest turned 10 this month!

A few shots of Alice to finish up this quick blog update. Alice sat right by the window for the first image. The last two show her new perch in the house that Rebecca and Noah can’t stand. I only managed to captured these two before Noah whisked her off, afraid she would fall, lol!

Tomorrow I’m off to photograph the adorable Miles again, this time with his two older sisters. Watch for the sneak peek soon! Will also be posting the delicious images from the March EatSavvy shoot! Yum!
