The first image is a recent one. I thought the background pop/juice/water filled fridge would make an interesting backdrop to the candy kabobs. It was a quick grab shot…if I return to this café I might spend a bit more time on the shot next time:

This one is an older image, but thought it might be interesting to apply a texture, just for fun:

A few shots from the very snowy day we had here in Toronto this week. All of the images were shot with the Lenbaby G3.

Well, after 508 votes we have the top three images of 2007 as chosen by you! It was a bit of a nail bitter, between 2nd and 3rd place, as it kept going back and forth between the two. Here are the results.
With 147 votes (29%), the winner of a 24″ x 20″ print is:
Image #9

Yeah! Congratulations to the T-Family!
And in 2nd place, winning a 16″ x 20″ print (after racking up some last minutes votes), with 99 votes (19%) is:
Image #1

And in 3rd place, winning an 11″ x 14″ print, with 88 votes (17%) is:
Image #2

Congratulations to all our winners! I will be contacting you over the next few days about your winning image.
And we have one more winner, as picked randomly by my daughter, Jane van Alphen, has won a free photography session from Holly Sisson Photography. Congratulations Jane! I will also be contacting you to discuss your session.
Thank you to everyone for helping me pick the top three images from family/couple sessions I’ve conducted over the last year. For present/future clients I will be running a contest like this again in the future, so keep an eye on my blog! 🙂
Thank you again for participating in my contest!
There are just over 48-hours left in the contest (it closes at 5 pm on Thursday), so I thought I’d give a quick update.
Image #2 is in the lead, with 20% of the votes, followed very closely by Image #9 with 19%, Image #1 has 16% and these three images have been battling it out for first place.
In fourth place, not very far behind, is Image #7 with 15%, next is Image #4 (11%), Image #5 (10%), Image #8 (5%), Image #3 (3%) and then Image #6 (2%).
It’s not too late to totally turn this around! If you haven’t emailed everyone you know, to vote for you, there is still time.
I can’t wait to see how it all ends. Good luck to everyone!
