The M-Family: Toronto Family Photography

I recently had the pleasure of photographing this wonderful fun family, on the first really cold weekend of the fall season. We started outside, where we found a wonderful backdrop of still blooming flowers:

Then we moved back to the house, where it was much warmer! Isn’t Clara a cutie? Love this shot!

Mom and dad cuddle with the youngest, Natalie. Felt very much like a ‘day-in-the-life’ shoot, which was really fun!

Thank you to the M-Family for spending a wonderful few hours with me. 🙂

Alice & iPhone Photography

Pulled out the Lensbaby for a few shots of Alice, she loves sleeping on the Apple Airport because it’s warm and toasty (shot with the Canon 1D MkIV and the Lensbaby Composer, see “My Camera Equipment” in footer section for links/more information on camera equipment used):

Some window lens flare and a heart that I photographed on the sidewalk, shot and processed on the iPhone 4:

The following are all reworked shots that I’ve previously posted, decided to see what I could do with them using a new app on my iPhone 4. All were taken with my old iPhone 3G and processed on the iPhone:

Catching Up

A big catch-up post today! Didn’t have a chance to post anything last week, busy fitting in work for the short week with the holiday this past Monday.

All of the following were taken with the iPhone 4, except where noted (all iphoto photography is processed with apps on the iPhone 4).

Rebecca with her outfit she created at The Sewing Studio camp she attended in August, and trying out makeup for a trip to FanExpo (she ended up going much lighter on the makeup, but we sure attracted stares from drivers on Avenue Road!). Left hand column images were taken with the iPhone 4, the rest were taken with the Canon 1DMkIV and the Canon 85mm f/1.2L lens. (See “My Camera Equipment” in footer section for links/more information on camera equipment used.)

Out and about with the kids, at a restaurant, downtown, local ice cream shop, at my mother’s for dinner (where Rebecca brought a friend, Noah is enjoying playing with his iPod Touch):

Have to include some shots of Alice! All but two were taken with the iPhone 4, otherwise the Canon 1DMkIV and the Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L lens:

Last batch is just a bunch of random shots from the iPhone 4:

Off to an EatSavvy shoot tomorrow, so watch for photos and links to the recipes soon!

Alice, the Birthday Girl!

It’s Alice’s 1st Birthday today, how appropriate that’s she’s a Leo! Alice is a very much loved member of our family, just as much as the first day she arrived at her new home last October (my how she’s grown!).

Here are a few images to commemorate the occasion.

Alice

She received a toy rat as a birthday present:

A few from the home office, first two shot & processed on the iPhone 4:

(Except where noted, images of Alice were captured with the Canon 1D MkIV and the Canon 24-70 f2.8L lens. See “My Camera Equipment” in footer section for links/more information on camera equipment used.)

Before I captured the raccoon’s outside Rebecca’s bedroom window (see the previous blog posting), Noah spied one of them in a tree, so captured these shots from our back deck:

Here via Siberlynx’s website. We’ll be getting a kitten of our own, soon, but have been enjoying your pictures of Alice for quite some time. Please pass on some birthday wishes!

Thank you Janice! Are you getting one of the current kittens? Or one from the next litter? What colour are you getting? I love seeing photos of all the kittens growing up, that people send in to Chloe. Kids and I all just wished Alice “Happy Birthday!” from you! 🙂
