Miles, the Adorable Toddler: Toronto Family Photography

As promised, my larger sneak peek of the adorable toddler Miles. Laura, Miles’ mom, has captured her older daughters in photographs when they each turned one year old, and now it is Mile’s turn. It’s a wonderful age to capture, as they grow so quickly, and change so fast!

(Equipment Used: The following were captured with the Canon EOS-1D MarkIV and the Canon 85 f1.2L lensβ€”in some of the shots, from this shoot, I also used my Canon 580EX II Speedlite.)

Miles has a wonderful little room right off mom and dad’s room:

Love this serious shot of Miles in his crib, such a soulful look!

Miles loves playing in his sisters’ room, with the windows all around it was a perfect spot for photographs:

Look at those blue eyes! Aren’t they amazing? (Shot with the Canon 5D and the Canon 100 mm f2.8 macro lens.)

I can never resist bathtub photos! The water accentuates the eyelashes, which really makes Miles’ beautiful eyes pop. (Next three images were taken with the Canon EOS-1D MarkIV and the Canon 24–70 mm f2.8L lens.)

Always love the snuggling in the towel after the bath shots too!

Can’t wait to go back and photograph Miles with his two older sisters! Laura and I are hoping for some snow, but I don’t know if Mother Nature will co-operate this winter! Fingers are crossed for a fun snowy shoot Laura! πŸ™‚

Sneak-Sneak Peek: Toronto Family Photographer

As I mentioned, in the post below, I have updated my blog to become my blogsite, which has been a bit of a process, so I’m a bit behind in my photography work, but I just have to share this sneak-sneak peek of Miles, whom I photographed last Friday. Hope to have the larger sneak peek up next week! (Equipment Used: Shot with the Canon EOS-1D MarkIV and my beloved Canon 85 f1.2L lens.)

The G Family: Family Photography, Toronto, Ontario

Had a fabulously fun session with Deborah and her son, Christopher, for my last family session of 2009.

(See “My Camera Equipment” in footer section for links/more information on camera equipment used.)

We started out inside with a family photo including Butterscotch the cat (shot with the Canon 24–70 mm f2.8L lens):

Christopher is learning guitar, and mom wanted a shot of him playing (shot with the Canon 85 f1.2L lens):

Love these two, shot in the back alley behind the house, such great ‘boy’ shots! (Shot with the Canon 85 f1.2L lens):

Loving these moments between mom and son (both shot with the Canon 85 f1.2L lens):

Love these shots of Butterscotch being taken for her daily walk in the back alley, so cute! (Shot with the Canon 85 f1.2L lens):

I adore this shot of the whole family, going for a walk (shot with the Canon 85 f1.2L lens):

Christopher was trying to be tricky, and hide from me for this shot, and it ended up being a fabulous relaxed portrait of him (shot with the Canon 85 f1.2L lens):

Thank you, Deborah and Christopher, for being such fun for my last family shoot of the year!

The Flu & Happiness Is a Cute Kitten: Pet Photography, Toronto, Ontario

We recently had the flu in our house, with both my son and daughter home for most of the week with it, I simply could not resist these photos of Alice keeping sick Noah company while he played on his DS:
SickNoahWAlice.jpg

Last weekend I completely got caught up in photographing Alice over the course of the day. All of the shots were taken with bounced on-camera flash, as natural light was non-existent. Love this shot of Alice, all fluffy and cute:

(See “My Camera Equipment” in footer section for links/more information on camera equipment used.)

A few images of her during the crazy kitty time of day, ready to pounce:

The next two images were taken with my Lensbaby lens, this first one with the macro filter attachment for extreme close-up and very shallow depth of field, love the sharp nose and how everything else is a blur:

Lensbaby lens with no macro filter attachment and no aperture disk installed:

Shot with the Canon 100 mm f2.8 macro lens:

Envy her ability to sleep anywhere, shot wide open with the Canon 85 f1.2L lens:

The following images were all taken with the Canon 24–70 mm f2.8L lens:

Alice is wondering “When is lunch already?”

Capturing her climbing up her scratching post was tricky! She moves so fast:

Love this comical last shot of Alice. Sirens were going by on Avenue Road, and I think she was wondering what the heck the noise was all about, lol:

She continues to be a great joy to the whole family, happiness is having such a fun and wonderful new addition to our family. πŸ™‚

The D Family: Family Photography, Toronto, Ontario

I recently had the pleasure of photographing Robin, Pete and their children, Jack and William.

We ended up fighting the weather a bit, but it ended up working out, the sun even made an appearance. We started the shoot in their backyard, where I captured William at play:

Caught this shot of Jack when we all took cover from the light rain that had started:

Thankfully it cleared up and we moved to the kids’ school yard, for more fun and photos. Love this shot of mom and her boys:

Dad joined in:

Loving this brotherly shot, so cute:
